Conductor, performer and educator, Charles Lisella is a Western PA-trained educator, trumpet player and singer. Charles earned his BM in Music Education from Westminster College primarily focusing on trumpet and becoming an effective music educator. With 10 years of field marching experience in Highschool, college, and with Steel City. He is very comfortable when it comes to producing a great product on the field.
In his studies he has played and sang in all of the ensembles at Westminster including the auditioned Wind Ensemble and Chamber Singers, Symphony Orchestra, and played lead in Jazz Ensemble. Before he took this position he was wind staff for Hampton Highschool Marching Band mainly with the Mellophone section. Charles is also very involved in other music ensembles including La Banda Rosa, St. Margherita Blue Coat Band, The Cranberry Men's Chorus as a bass section leader, and Trouble Clef Vocal Quartet.
He has conducted The Westminster College Wind Ensemble and Barbershop Club, Hampton High School Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble and Elementary Choir, Butler County Community College Pit Orchestra for the Little Mermaid and the Steel City Ambassadors Drum and Bugle Corps.
Since taking over as Assistant Director in November of 2023, he has fully committed to bringing everyone that comes here a great experience of music and education to become better people and musicians.
Charles currently resides in Harmony PA where he is a teacher and Freelance Musician.
